India is an incredible place to visit. I feel so fortunate to have a large part of my business here because of the opportunity I have to visit. The people are so friendly and warm, polite and accommodating but most of all content. They're such a good example of how we should all take a deep breath and be happy with all that we have. The food is spicy, just like I like it, and the colors of India are stunning. Soon I’ll be home and visions of India will only be memories captured in the fabric of Cape Madras. I can't do India justice by describing it, so here are a few photos I took along the way.
Bay of Bengal
Typical sight in the streets
On the way to the weavers, this young man is washing up for the day.
Happily doing chores
Harvesting Rice
1600 year old carving, from one rock in Mahabalipuram
This happens frequently on the roads. Better not be in a hurry.
There were so many bangles, I couldn't decide.
Always smiling

Me and the Girls
Typical fishing boat in South India. I got some cool shells on this beach.
I need to take up Yoga.
Most days were over 110 degrees so I went for a swim on my last day.
Fisherman's Cove is an hour and half south of Madras.
